fpc-ctl, Anubis, and Forgejo
Did a little bit of catch-up today.
Created an Anubis ruleset which allows nothing without a challenge –
previously I had been using the default ruleset, which excludes known
“bad” bots and challenged anything that looked like an actual browser,
but allowed presumed “good” things like curl with no challenge.
I admit that a part of me wonders if this is worthwhile, but most of me thinks that making things even a touch more difficult for shitty companies is the correct thing to do.
I also updated Forgejo, which had released a couple of point releases. This isn’t interesting in and of itself, but I also took the opportunity to write myself a script to handle the process.
Last, and this isn’t something I did today but is a bit of devlog
catch-up since I last wrote about fpc-ctl, I’m done with it for
now. Don’t think there’s anything left to do until I adapt it for use
with another project. This will likely be gnatwren, since it started
life as build.sh in that project anyway :D
It’ll likely never be useful to anyone else, but I’m always okay with having tools for myself.
